**Key Responsibilities**:
- Diagnoses and treats disorders related to the digestive system, including the stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas.
- Performs endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and biopsies.
- Prescribes medications and recommends lifestyle changes to manage conditions like IBS, Crohn's disease, and liver disease.
- Conducts medical research and stays up-to-date on latest treatments and technologies.
- Works with patients to prevent and manage digestive health issues.
**Qualifications**:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- Valid medical license to practice in [State].
- Extensive knowledge and experience in managing gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
- Proficiency in performing endoscopic procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
