JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION

POSITION TITLE Food Technologist/ R & D Executive/ Sr. Executive

DEPARTMENT R & D

LOCATION Baroda

REPORTING TO HOD - QA/QC/R&D

DIRECT REPORTS None

OBJECTIVE OF THE R &D and New product development
ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. New product development
2. Development in existing products.
3. Day to day product evolution.
4. Sensory evolution of production batches like premixes and ready to drink beverages.
5. selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers
6. Communication with production and quality department regarding product trouble shooting.
7. preparing product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products;
8. dealing with any customer complaint investigations or product issues
9. compiling, checking and approving product specifications and labelling;
10. Working on packaging innovation and technology.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS Experience in R & D department, in Food / Nutritional / Pharma industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written
- Quick Learner
- Co-ordination skills
- Shall have good sensory evolution skills
- designing processes and machinery for the production of recipes on a large scale
- monitoring the use of additives
- testing and examining samples
- researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts;
- a genuine interest in science and how it is applied to food and cookery
- excellent attention to detail
- leadership qualities;
- a flexible approach to working
- numeracy and problem-solving skills;
- an awareness of the consumer market
- Adequate knowledge for food licensing such as FSSAI, BIS, AGMARK

etc.
- Shall have skill for sensory evolution, product development and trouble shooting in ready to drink beverages.

QUALIFICATION Essential: B Tech - Food Technology / B. Sc. Food technology / M.Sc. Food
Technology

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Try to gain as much practical experience as possible.

Relevant Experience: Min 3 years in Food R & D department.

TARGET COMPANIES FMCG companies

COMPENSATION 2 L/A- 4 L/A

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
