Position Overview:
The Video Editor is a skilled professional responsible for assembling recorded video footage, audio, and graphics into visually compelling and engaging videos. They play a crucial role in the post-production process, transforming raw materials into polished, high-quality videos that align with the organization's goals and creative vision. The Video Editor collaborates closely with content creators, filmmakers, and other team members to bring ideas to life through effective storytelling and seamless editing.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Editing: Edit raw video footage into cohesive and visually appealing videos that match the creative vision and storytelling goals. This includes cutting, trimming, sequencing, and enhancing video clips.

2. Audio Editing: Manipulate and synchronize audio tracks, including voiceovers, music, sound effects, and ambient sounds, to ensure a high-quality audio experience in the final video.

3. Color Correction and Grading: Enhance video footage through color correction and grading to maintain visual consistency and achieve the desired mood or style.

4. Graphics and Effects: Incorporate graphics, text, animations, and visual effects into videos to add context, branding elements, and enhance the overall visual impact.

5. Storytelling: Work closely with content creators, filmmakers, or creative directors to understand the narrative and desired message, ensuring that the video effectively conveys the intended story or information.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with various team members, including videographers, motion designers, and content creators, to ensure a seamless integration of video elements.

7. Video Formats and Platforms: Adapt and optimize videos for various formats and social media platforms to ensure maximum engagement and reach.

8. Video Production Support: Provide support during video shoots, ensuring that footage is captured in a way that makes post-production editing efficient and effective.

9. Technical Proficiency: Stay updated on video editing software, tools, and industry trends to maintain proficiency and implement new techniques.

10. File Management: Organize and manage video files, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient access to footage and assets.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Editing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

2. Proven experience as a Video Editor or a similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of edited videos.

3. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

4. Solid understanding of video and audio codecs, file formats, compression, and delivery requirements for various platforms.

5. Knowledge of color correction and grading techniques.

6. Strong storytelling and creative skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives through video editing.

7. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards in the final output.

8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take feedback constructively.

9. Time management skills to meet project deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

10. Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects is a plus.
