**Position Summary**

**Principal Scientist RMC Analytical**

**Lead Analytical Qualifications and Specification Management for Raw Materials**:

- Lead Analytical (Raw Material testing & Characterization) projects globally and ensure on time support to various projects.
- Lead Raw Material Specification for Asia Pacific Region for Raw material used in Cosmetic and Selfcare products
- Lead the raw material Analytical qualification process globally and drive process simplification/ innovation by collaborating with cross regional/functional teams
- Represent Asia Pacific Region to streamline Specification management process in global forums
- Support internal/external manufacturing sites for Analytical test method related trouble shootings & investigations linked to raw materials.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvements, implement global regulations and GxP requirements as applicable
- Make decisions regarding analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and arriving at timely technical decisions.
- Collaborate with external partners for outsourcing activities and ensure the productivity and compliance to applicable J&J standards
- Develop technical expertise in team and ensure implementation & adherence to GxP practices in RMC
- Develop an agile mindset within the RMC Analytical team and drive agile ways of working to support various projects globally

Coordination of Raw Material Analytical qualification projects to ensure timely support to internal stakeholders

Participate in various meetings with internal and external stakeholders to shape/streamline the processes

Participate in raw material related investigations as appropriate to support internal & external manufacturing sites and investigate the OOS results during Analytical qualifications.

Review and approval of change control and manage the quality metrics for the change controls

Review and approval of technical documents like qualification reports, technical justifications, analytical method transfer etc.

Training and Performance assessment of the team members, contractors, and third-party resources

Provide timely updates to reporting manager and provide insights on creating new opportunities for process improvements

**Qualifications**

**Required Minimum Education**: A minimum of a Master’s degree in Analytical/Organic Chemistry or BPharm or MPharm

**Required Years of Related Experience**: 12-18 years in FMCG/Pharma sector (Minimum 3-4 years of experience in people management is required)

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
(Include any required computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)
- Adequate knowledge of GMP, quality systems, SOPs, Global & Country specific Regulatory requirements
- Technical skills related to interpretation of analytical data and accurate documentation of laboratory investigations and non-conformances.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in an GxP environment is mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external resources to meet project objectives.
- Proven record of delivering project results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office tools
- Ability to manage/resolve interpersonally challenging situations
- Ability to successfully navigate unknown/unforeseen challenges
