Librarian

**Library Management**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, classification, shelving, and circulation of library materials such as books, periodicals, multimedia resources, and digital content.
- Maintain an organized and user-friendly library environment that promotes accessibility, engagement, and exploration of resources for all patrons.
- **Collection Development**:

- Develop and maintain a diverse and up-to-date collection of print and digital resources that support the curriculum, instructional goals, and interests of students, teachers, and staff.
- Evaluate existing materials and identify gaps in the collection, and make informed decisions regarding selection, acquisition, and deselection of library materials.
- **Information Literacy Instruction**:

- Collaborate with teachers and curriculum specialists to integrate information literacy skills into the curriculum and support students in developing research, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills.
- Plan and deliver instructional sessions, workshops, and tutorials on information retrieval, evaluation, citation, and ethical use of information resources.
- **Reference and Research Assistance**:

- Provide reference and research assistance to students, teachers, and staff, including help with locating and accessing information, conducting literature reviews, and citing sources appropriately.
- Assist patrons in navigating library databases, online catalogs, and other information retrieval tools, and provide guidance on effective search strategies and resources.
- **Technology Integration**:

- Integrate technology tools and digital resources into library services and programming to enhance access to information, collaboration, and learning opportunities for patrons.
- **Library Programming and Outreach**:

- Plan, promote, and facilitate a variety of library programs, events, and activities to engage and inspire patrons, including author visits, book clubs, reading challenges, and educational workshops.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community partners to promote literacy, lifelong learning, and a love of reading among students and the broader community.
- **Information Management and Systems**:

- Maintain accurate records of library holdings, patron accounts, circulation transactions, and other library-related data using library management systems and software.
- Generate reports, compile statistics, and analyze usage data to assess the effectiveness of library services, inform decision-making, and demonstrate the library's impact on student learning and achievement.
- **Professional Development and Collaboration**:

- Stay abreast of current trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in library and information science through professional development activities, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with other librarians, educators, and library organizations to share resources, expertise, and innovative ideas for enhancing library services and programs.
- **Advocacy and Community Engagement**:

- Advocate for the value and importance of school libraries and librarianship within the school community, district, and beyond, and communicate the library's role in supporting academic achievement and lifelong learning.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community members to promote library services, resources, and initiatives.
- **Library Policies and Procedures**:

- Develop and enforce library policies, procedures, and guidelines related to collection development, circulation, behavior expectations, and use of library facilities and resources.
- Communicate library policies and procedures effectively to patrons and provide guidance and support in adhering to library rules and expectations.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
