**Role Description**

You will be joining KYC (Know Your Client) Operations, supporting the Corporate and Investment Bank functions of Deutsche Bank.

The Data/MI function within KYC Operations accesses rich data stores in providing global/regional management information to senior management, the Business, operations teams for planning, steering and review, as well as regulators and internal control functions, both ad hoc and on a regular basis.

As a Data Scientist, your experience and expertise will be key in building and refining optimal data sourcing processes, maintaining a data provisioning service to our portfolio of dashboards, delivering analytics solutions, and informing wider decision making

**Your key responsibilities**
- Maintain and enhance portfolio of existing analytics/reporting services
- Migrating tactically developed processes to recognised analytics platforms
- Refine regionally disparate reporting processes in designing harmonised global service
- Deliver RTB reporting solutions within SLA thresholds
- Supporting demand for new analytical output
- Consider demand against existing portfolio of reporting solutions for optimally efficient integration
- Ensure requirements meet minimum standards for acceptance
- Agree prioritisation and delivery schedule in partnership with management and requestor/sponsor
- Task scoping and requirements refinement - alignment of requirements through consultation with manager and service requestor
- End to end development of prioritised reporting solutions - retaining ownership/responsibility for technical delivery of all assigned reporting/analytics tasks
- Use data modelling tools to develop easily repeatable processes, maximising automation opportunity for efficient regular processing (or simple process reconfiguration where needed)
- Determine/confirm most effective tooling for solution delivery (factors may include: time to market, existing strategic/tactical services, )
- Develop solution in appropriate platform, based on proof-of-concept basis - hosting agile ’show and tell’ sessions to confirm component delivery / development is directionally suitable / opportunity for further refinement
- Establish/monitor robust controls to highlight any failure within e2e processing, resolving any failures identified
- Compile and maintain all necessary supporting documentation (sponsors/business cases, sourcing details/contacts, data model, other features)

**Your skills and experience**
- Ability to synthesize complex and abstract questions/problems and determine a clear, optimal approach to address, whether via reporting or data-supported written summaries
- Highly competent at assessing, processing, manipulating, and analysing large amounts of data sourced from multiple locations (SQL experience expected)
- Strong understanding across a range of data analytics packages, including Alteryx, SQL Server, Celonis as well as MS Suite (Excel/Access)
- Some competence with visualisation tools (incl. Tableau) preferred
- Ability to tailor analysis and communication to engage effectively with multiple potential stakeholders (e.g. senior management, Production teams, regulators, ) at various levels of the corporate hierarchy, across a range of global locations
- Capable of accommodating multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and operating to tight schedules
- Can operate autonomously, having established with management the necessary parameters informing delivery approach
- Effective communicator who can exemplify DB’s Speak Up culture
- Honours degree expected, ideally in Computer Science or similar
- Some experience with / an understanding of KYC processes and data is beneficial but not essential
