**Job Title: Furniture Carpenter**

**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Furniture Construction**: Build and assemble furniture pieces such as tables, chairs, cabinets, and beds using wood and other materials.
- **Reading and Interpreting Blueprints**: Study and interpret design blueprints and sketches to understand project requirements and specifications.
- **Material Selection**: Select appropriate wood and materials for each project based on strength, durability, and aesthetic qualities.
- **Cutting and Shaping**: Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and size wood and other materials with precision.
- **Joinery Techniques**: Employ various joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, and dado to create sturdy and durable furniture joints.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished furniture pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications before delivery.
- **Repair and Restoration**: Perform repairs and restoration work on damaged or old furniture, including structural repairs, refinishing, and upholstery.
- **Workplace Safety**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with designers, clients, and other team members to understand project requirements, offer insights, and ensure successful project execution.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a furniture carpenter or similar role in woodworking and furniture construction.
- Proficiency in working with a variety of woodworking tools and equipment, both hand and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and furniture construction principles.
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality craftsmanship.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Creativity and a passion for woodworking and furniture design.
- Certification or formal training in carpentry, woodworking, or furniture making is preferred but not required.
