**Position Description**

The Senior Product Owner translates product or business requirements into functional/non-functional requirements for the development team. They ensure their requirements clearly convey how the end result will delight customers, and what business problem or need they are solving. The PO partners with and supports the Product Manager, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the team has enough well-groomed requirements in the backlog at all times so that the development team pull in more feature development as their time and capacity permits. This in turn allows us to launch our platform features faster and with greater quality.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders to identify project requirements
- Create Use Case/User Stories to aid in requirement refinement discussions
- Support multiple initiatives simultaneously and still meet defined milestones
- Resolve business process conflicts as they relate to project specifications
- Create mock-ups, workflows, low-fidelity prototypes etc. as needed to facilitate better understanding of requirements
- Are responsible for the management and traceability of project requirements
- Work with Product Manager(s), Stakeholder(s), and engineering team to continually ensure the teams’ Backlog is groomed and estimated
- Coordinate with Scrum Master, Engineering Lead to prioritize user stories and meet program goals and timelines
- Establish ongoing, effective communication between the team and business stakeholders to ensure the team is meeting the customers’ needs
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Scrums, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
- Help validate, clarify, or quantify Bugs/Defects found to ensure they are properly triaged before sprinting with the development team(s)
- Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of user acceptance testing to ensure test cases and completed user stories meet the business expectations
- Support development & QA team during development to get resolution to queries. Actively contribute to user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
- Help build specific domain and functional knowledge across the team by conducting knowledge sharing sessions, create knowledge artefacts / blogs, internal domain trainings at team level etc.
- Understand the big picture of the business, propose ideas for improvement and value creation and work with engineering team to implement those.

Qualifications:
**Qualifications & Skills**
- 4+ years’ experience as Product Owner or IT Business Analyst
- 3+ years creating user stories
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- BFSI domain experience is required. Experience in Wealth Management / Investments domains or post-graduate / professional qualification in Finance (MBA, CFA, CFP etc.) will be advantageous.
- Experience working as BA/PO in IT development projects / product development.
- Excellent understanding of solution architecture, development processes, and current technologies
- Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation
- Experience supporting multiple technical projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong understanding of Agile development processes
- Experience working with web and/or mobile software development, QA and operations teams
- Experience using Jira and Confluence tracking and collaboration tools
- Ability to multitask and react in a fast-paced organization
- Demonstrated ability to get team members from different organizations/teams together to work on a common goal/requirement/problem
- Able to identify when we have the best quality of requirements, so we are “good enough” to start development efforts
- Self-starter with experience working on projects with limited direction
- Ability to accurately and objectively evaluate complex risks and issues
- Ability to promote process improvement and be an advocate for change
