Azure Systems Administrator

SUMMARY: The role of Senior Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for working in a production mixed Windows and Linux software environment. This role will be responsible for managing the Azure public cloud instances of both PaaS services as well as IaaS virtual machines. The individual in this position will also lead, maintain, and oversee the operation of SaaS multi-tenant software running on the cloud services and servers. The Senior Cloud Systems Administrator must have strong technical knowledge of both PaaS and IaaS resources as well as commonly used software for web hosting, such as IIS and Node. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of this production environment, including configuration, monitoring, scaling, performance, and incident response. The Senior Cloud Systems Administrator will lead the technical aspects of establishing and executing the production cloud operations as per the requirements established by the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Experience in a large scale, mission critical private and public cloud environment
- Experience working with Azure public cloud
- Extensive experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting workloads on Windows and IIS
- Experience installing, configuring, implementing, securing, patching, and monitoring both Windows Server as well as Ubuntu Server.
- Extensive experience with backup and recovery scenarios in Azure and VMWare.
- Experience working in a multi-tenant SaaS environment
- Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure such as networking, security, access control, storage, cost optimization, etc.
- Automation experience with regards to server configuration
- PowerShell and automation experience for managing Azure and Virtual Machines at scale
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: - Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related experience SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- 5+ years’ hands-on experience working in an enterprise scale or customer facing SaaS environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in large scale 24X7 Production Environment.
- Experience managing azure infrastructure using PowerShell.
- Ability to create and configure backup and recovery plans.
- Experience monitoring and responding to alerts.
- Experience configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Microsoft IIS.
- Ability to quickly diagnose performance related issues and formulate recommendations.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and tune poorly performing queries.
- Virtualization configuration and ability to right size environments.
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure components.
- Experience using Microsoft SCOM or related Monitoring and Management tools.
- Experience security private and Azure public cloud resources.

**Salary**: ₹129,490.06 - ₹2,509,506.69 per year
