Npd - Packaging Devrlopment

The role holder will provide technical packaging support, to the whole NPD Own Label team. This will be in the form of technical knowledge at the conception phase, for packaging components. They will embark on cost saving projects to align the 3P’s using their technical knowledge.

This person will be involved in all Fragrance, Personal Care & Colour Cosmetics projects, giving them a massive breadth of exposure in terms of product categories.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the packaging of existing products through agreed value engineering and re-sourcing initiatives.
- Responsible for the development of packaging in line with different market vision/objectives and provide appropriate support to manufacturing and distribution facilities.
- Technical support to component supplier validation, approval & continues improvement as per organization requirement against business requirement.
- Initiation & Project Management of specific packaging development / Sustainability / Innovation Standardization & cost optimization/ projects.
- Coordination of feasibility studies on Market design proposals; in conjunction with internal and external development partners, e.g. Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution & agreed supplier partners.
- Approval of all relevant technical component drawings.
- Coordination, approval and reporting of all necessary packaging/product component testing, via the Product Testing and Scale-up team within R&D.
- Coordination, approval and reporting of all necessary filling line and transit trials.

Creation and maintenance of packaging specifications & manage system administration.
- Technical approval of finished components.
- Management and resolution of relevant packaging related non-conformances.
- Coordination of packaging artworks and origination proof (“bromide”) approvals necessary to complete the development of their brand or product packaging.
- Exposure in the personal care or cosmetics product packaging development.
- Good Printing and decoration knowledge.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
