**Job Summary**

Responsible for end to
- end sourcing activities -Global Sourcing, Negotiations, P2P, Contract Management, Vendor Management, Customs clearance, Supply Chain along with the enforcement of Kennametal’s policies and procedures. In addition, this role will address strategic and operational sourcing and procurement activities.
- Manage the End-to-end Strategic Sourcing activities of Direct, Indirect, Capital Equipment Categories
- Global Sourcing, Negotiations, P2P, Contract Management, Vendor Management, Customs Clearance, Supply Chain.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes & technology which includes processes like precision machining, Grinding, heat treatment, etc should have sound knowledge of Estimation of costs for a component,
- Supplier capability analysis & supplier capacity measurement.
- Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
- Supplier Capacity, Supplier developments, Supplier rationalization and to develop new suppliers to business requirements and arranging audits by Quality to hand hold the suppliers to meet the expectations of Kennametal. Effective deployment of Quality Tools such as CAPA/ FMEA/8D to resolve the problems and ensuring seamless quality uninterrupted supplies.
- Drives to develop and understand internal stakeholder requirements and uses this information to assist in recommendation of purchasing decisions.
- Performs scenario analyses or other studies as requested that quantify supply chain risks in proportion to changes in customer demand.
- Identifies and communicates significant issues and opportunities related to business level supply chain management.
- Utilizes all available systems and participates in team building/collaborative exercises that facilitate continuous improvement and personal development.
- Support other strategic initiatives and projects as required by the business.
- Drive cost reduction projects and identify new avenues of cost reduction in Direct and Indirect Materials.,
- Sound Knowledge on Cutting Tools ( Carbide, Cermet & Steel ) Manufacturing suppliers PAN India Preferable South India.

**Education: Bachelor Of Engineering - Mechanical, MBA ( Would be an added advantage ).**

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of Sourcing, procurement experience.
- SAP experience (RQ) and E-Sourcing, Ariba
- Demonstrated strength in problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using a reporting system such as Microsoft Tools Power BI or Tableau
- Strong critical thinking skills, executing concepts and ideas with decisive action
