**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented **Safety Officer** with 2-3 years of experience in the building and construction industry. The role involves ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at project sites and promoting a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and enforce safety procedures, rules, and regulations at the construction site.
- Conduct regular **site safety inspections**, **audits**, and **risk assessments** to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with legal and company safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate **incidents, near misses**, and prepare detailed reports with corrective action plans.
- Conduct **toolbox talks**, **safety inductions**, and **training sessions** for workers and staff.
- Maintain and update site safety documentation such as **checklists, permits, and registers**.
- Monitor usage and availability of **PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)** and ensure proper usage by workers.
- Assist in the preparation of **method statements** and **job safety analysis (JSA)**.
- Coordinate with the project team, contractors, and external safety auditors.
- Support emergency response planning and participate in mock drills.

**Key Skills & Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (preferably Engineering or Safety).
- Certification in **Industrial Safety**, **NEBOSH IGC**, or **IOSH** is preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of practical safety experience in building or construction projects.
- Sound knowledge of **construction safety standards**, **local labor laws**, and **HSE regulations**.
- Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiar with safety documentation, report writing, and accident investigation procedures.
