**About the Role**

We are looking for a **Principal AI Architect - Generative Systems** to lead the design and delivery of next-generation AI solutions that drive innovation across our products. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who combines deep technical expertise in generative AI with the ability to shape product vision, influence cross-functional teams, and scale systems in real-world environments.

You will guide a high-performing team of AI engineers and researchers to bring cutting-edge models from concept to production—impacting millions of users through intelligent automation, personalized experiences, and human-like interactions.

**Key Responsibilities**

Architect and oversee the development of **generative AI systems**, including LLMs, transformer-based networks, diffusion models, and custom foundation models.

Translate business goals into **scalable and measurable AI solutions**, working closely with stakeholders from product, design, engineering, and leadership.

Lead the design and implementation of **high-performance ML infrastructure**, enabling efficient model training, deployment, and monitoring across environments.

Drive innovation by incorporating the latest research in **deep learning, NLP, and computer vision** into the company’s product and technology roadmap.

Build reliable and ethical AI pipelines, ensuring fairness, transparency, and explainability throughout the model lifecycle.

Set standards and best practices for **AI/ML development workflows**, including versioning, CI/CD, testing, and model retraining strategies.

Mentor and grow a team of talented AI engineers and scientists, creating a culture that values experimentation, quality, and impact.

Represent the AI function in strategic technical discussions and provide leadership in architectural decision-making.

**Required Qualifications**

11+ years of experience in **software engineering**, with at least 5 years leading **AI/ML product initiatives**.

Demonstrated success in building and scaling **production-grade Gen AI systems** across NLP, LLMs, or multimodal domains.

Expertise in **deep learning frameworks** like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX, and ecosystem tools such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or similar.

Advanced proficiency in **Python** and familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow, Airflow, or Kubeflow.

Deep understanding of transformer models, attention mechanisms, generative architectures, and prompt-tuning methodologies.

Proven experience deploying AI workloads on **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with emphasis on scalability and cost efficiency.

Strong grounding in **data architecture**, including collection, preprocessing, validation, and quality assurance for large-scale model training.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge complex technical solutions with business impact.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. (PhD preferred but not required.)

**Preferred Experience**

Hands-on work with **RAG pipelines**, **vector databases** (FAISS, Pinecone), or **prompt engineering** at scale.

Contributions to **open-source AI libraries** or **peer-reviewed publications** in top AI conferences (NeurIPS, ACL, CVPR, etc.).

Experience leading AI efforts in high-growth startups or innovation labs.
