Position: EDM Operator - Tool Room

Location: Pranav TechOne Pvt. Ltd, D-19, Sector 80 Noida, UP.

Department: Tool Room / Manufacturing

Reports To: Tool Room Supervisor / Production Manager

Job Summary:
The EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine) Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining EDM machines to manufacture precision tooling, dies, and components as per engineering specifications. The role requires technical expertise in EDM operations, understanding of machining processes, and adherence to quality standards

Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation & Setup:

- Set up and operate Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, or CNC EDM machines as per job specifications.
- Select and install electrodes, workpieces, and necessary tools for EDM processes.
- Adjust machine settings (voltage, current, pulse rate) to achieve required precision.

2. Tool Room & Manufacturing Support:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to execute machining operations accurately.
- Collaborate with toolmakers, designers, and engineers to ensure quality production.
- Perform machining on tool room components such as molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures.

3. Quality Control & Inspection:

- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments like micrometers, vernier calipers, CMM, height gauges, and profile projectors.
- Ensure that machined components meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tolerance requirements.
- Identify and rectify machining defects or deviations.

4. Maintenance & Safety Compliance:

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines to ensure smooth operation.
- Follow workplace safety protocols and 5S methodologies to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of electrodes, tools, and raw materials.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain detailed records of machine settings, machining parameters, and production logs.
- Document any changes in machining processes and submit reports to the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in operating EDM machines in a tool room environment.
- Hands-on experience with Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, or CNC EDM.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
- Knowledge of metal properties, machining tolerances, and EDM consumables.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and CAD/ Solid CAM software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in Injection Mold tool, die casting, mold making, or precision machining.
- Exposure to EDM brands like Mitsubishi, Oskar Max, Jio mars.
- Knowledge of other tool room machines like CNC milling, grinding, and lathe

Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary CTC -26000 to 34000
