Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) is an autonomous engineering college located in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. MCET has received the highest NAAC grade consecutively for 3 times. The college is a part of the Nachimuthu Industrial Association (NIA) which has been offering mainstream education since 1957. The college is a proud member of the Sakthi Group of companies founded by Padma Bhushan awardee, late Dr.N.Mahalingam.

**Role Description**

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in their area of expertise, conducting research, participating in departmental and college activities, and advising students.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- **Teaching**: Delivering lectures and lessons, preparing course materials, and evaluating students’ performance through exams, assignments, and other assessments
- **Research**: Conducting original research in their area of expertise, publishing academic articles and books, and presenting their findings at conferences
- **Mentoring**: Advising students and serving as role models to assist in directing their professional and academic development
- **Service**: Participating in departmental and institutional activities, serving on committees, and helping in recruitment and mentor new faculty members
- **Professional Development**: Expanding professional development, going to conferences and workshops, and collaborating with peers to advance their research and teaching objectives

**Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the relevant field
- M.E/M.Tech Graduation is mandatory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Experience with research in the relevant field
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- PhD in the relevant field is required
- Experience in industry or teaching is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
