**Job Title - Academic Counselor**

**Responsibilities**:
1.Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to assess their academic strengths, weaknesses, interests, and goals.

2.Provide personalized guidance to students on course selection, academic planning, and career pathways.

3.Assist students in developing educational plans that align with their aspirations and future career opportunities.

4.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student academic concerns and provide appropriate interventions.

5.Help students navigate academic challenges, study strategies, time management, and effective learning techniques.

6.Stay updated with educational programs, curriculum changes, and university admissions requirements to provide accurate information to students.

7.Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and presentations on study skills, time management, and other relevant topics.

8.Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, counseling sessions, and academic progress.

9.Utilize technology tools and educational resources to enhance counseling services and student engagement.

10.Monitor and track student academic performance, attendance, and behavior, providing timely interventions as needed.

11.Collaborate with the career counseling team to guide students in exploring potential career paths and higher education options.

12.Assist in the development of educational resources, informational materials, and counseling programs.

13.Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and open houses to provide counseling support and engage with stakeholders.

14.Stay informed about trends in education, mental health, and counseling practices to enhance the quality of counseling services.

15.Foster a positive and inclusive counseling environment that promotes student well-being and personal growth.

Qualifications:
1Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

2.Proven experience as an Academic Counselor or similar role in the education sector.

3.Strong understanding of educational pathways, curriculum requirements, and university admissions processes.

4.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.

5.Empathetic and patient approach to counseling, with the ability to actively listen and provide guidance.

6.Knowledge of counseling techniques, study skills, and academic advising best practices.

7.Familiarity with using counseling software and online platforms for student support.

8.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining counseling records.

9.Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

10.Passion for helping students succeed academically and achieve their educational goals.
