Scope of Work The Garment Inspection Centre In charge will be responsible for overseeing the entire inspection process of garments, from the receipt of supplier goods to final packing, ensuring that products meet the quality standards required by multi-export brands. This role includes managing a team of checking, finishing, and packing employees, coordinating with the Buying QA, and ensuring smooth operations within the inspection centre. The In charge must be proactive in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all garment specifications.
- Oversee the inspection of incoming goods from supplier units, ensuring adherence to quality specifications and standards
- Lead the inspection team to check for defects, measurements, fabric quality, stitching, and finishing in all garment products.
- Perform detailed visual and physical checks of garments, focusing on defects, colour variations, sizing, labelling, and packing accuracy.
- Ensure that goods are inspected before moving to the packing stage, and that any substandard products are rejected or reworked.
- Supervise and manage a team of garment checking, finishing, and packing employees, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a productive and quality-focused work environment while maintaining high team morale.
- Schedule and allocate work to ensure efficient handling of orders, meeting deadlines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that garment shipments meet required quality standards before arriving at the inspection centre.
- Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
- Communicate effectively with the Buying QA teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to product quality, shipment, or compliance with brand specifications.
- Oversee the final inspection of packed garments to ensure proper packaging, labelling, and conformity to export standards
- Ensure that garments are packed according to client requirements, including size segregation, proper tagging, and packing labels.
- Coordinate final shipments and deliveries, ensuring that all necessary documentation (e.g., quality certificates, inspection reports) is complete and accurate.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, quality checks, rework actions, and rejections.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for any consistent quality issues identified.
- Keep the inspection centre fully compliant with international quality standards (e.g., AQL), export regulations, and customer-specific requirements.

Qualification: A degree or diploma in Textiles, Garment Manufacturing, or Quality Control is preferred.

Core competencies/

Specific skills:
(if Any) Minimum 5 years of experience in garment inspection, quality control, or garment production in an export-oriented environment. Prior experience in managing a team of checking, finishing, and packing employees is essential. Strong understanding of garment inspection techniques, fabric types, garment production processes, and quality control standards.

Experience in handling multiple export brands and knowledge of various brand-specific quality requirements.

Familiarity with international quality standards, including AQL (Acceptable Quality Level).Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a diverse workforce.

Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and buyers.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
