Dance Teacher

The Female Dance Teacher will be responsible for teaching both Classical (e.g., Bharatanatyam, Kathak) and Western dance styles (e.g., Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop) to students of all age groups. The role includes creating lesson plans, preparing students for performances, organizing school events, and contributing to the students' holistic development through the art of dance. The teacher will also foster a positive and encouraging environment that allows students to express themselves creatively while learning the technical aspects of dance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Dance Instruction**:

- Teach classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, or any other Indian classical styles as well as Western dance forms like Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, etc.
- Develop age-appropriate dance curricula that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of students from primary to senior levels.
- Conduct dance classes, rehearsals, and performance practices during school hours.
- Teach students about the history, cultural significance, and technical aspects of both classical and Western dance styles.

**Performance Preparation**:

- Choreograph dances for school events, annual day functions, cultural programs, competitions, and inter-school dance festivals.
- Guide students in perfecting their dance routines for performances and assessments.
- Organize and prepare students for participation in state, national, and inter-school dance competitions.

**Student Engagement**:

- Encourage students to explore their creativity through improvisation and individual expression in dance.
- Provide individual attention to students to help them develop their skills and confidence in performing.
- Identify and nurture students with exceptional dance talent, offering advanced training when appropriate.

**Event Organization**:

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to organize cultural events, dance performances, and other extracurricular activities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of school-wide events that involve dance performances.

**Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn.
- Ensure safety during practice sessions, particularly in movements that require coordination and flexibility.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure discipline, time management, and optimal learning.

**Professional Development**:

- Stay updated with the latest dance trends, techniques, and pedagogical approaches.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and professional development programs to enhance teaching skills.
- Integrate new forms of dance and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum to keep the students engaged.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work collaboratively with other teachers, coordinators, and school management to align dance programs with the school’s overall curriculum.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and any areas of concern.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain records of student attendance, progress, and performance in dance classes.
- Handle logístical tasks related to performances, costumes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
