Able to Configure and manage RAID, Encryption, De-duplication, and compression.

co-ordinate with OEM for any part replacement, firmware bugs,

Identification of Disk or hardware failures

Provide required WebEx session or logs to analyse the bugs and follow-up until the service ticket is resolved.

Co-ordination with respective OEM vendors for chassis, disk failures.

Able to prepare RCA with the inputs and resolution summary of OEM for all Severity 1 calls,

Able to work on storage I/O, drive utilization, I/O contention, and storage

availability metrics such as LUN / Disk drive utilization and analyse the reports

Analysed Storage performance reports generated by the deployed tools

Optimize disk I/O contention parameters, Firmware updates.

Verify packet contention at SAN switch Level.

Ensure that firmware and microcode for disk arrays, SAN switches, HBAs are all interoperable per OEM specifications

Able to perform LUN / Disk drive assignment on approved CR

Manage file system structure, access, and data life cycles

Space monitoring of disks / drives in the storage sub systems

Able to perform Tape restoration

Change management process to be followed

**Job Description of Storage L3**

Able to provide consultancy and recommendation on storage in the below mentioned areas:
Recommend definition and assignment of tier profiles based on their performance, availability, recoverability, and serviceability characteristics.

Recommend tiering and archival approaches based on aging, I/O, access, and usage.

Recommend thin provisioning approach.

Recommend best practices for backup and restore

Recommend file system capacity standards, replication systems, and archiving

Recommend Storage compaction and de-duplication capabilities to reduce the Storage footprint.

Recommend file system folder management.

Conduct periodic tests to validate the integrity of the data replication solutions such as failover test to the replicated system and validate functionality.

Update Asset Inventory database in the CMDB (Asset Management tool provisioned), in case of hardware part replacement by following approved Change management process.

Able to schedule backup of data and archive log files using automated configured backup software,

Able to troubleshoot incomplete data backup reported and in case of any failures or data corruption or data integrity or backup

Analyse and troubleshoot the backup issues within the defined SLA

Able to Manage Tape Library deployed at Data Centre

Able to perform basic maintenance and cleaning activity for storage and tape libraries at scheduled intervals and in accordance with manufacturer’s suggested maintenance

and cleaning procedures and provide report to OEM team, if any, abnormalities observed

Customize backup monitoring scripts and deploy in the production environment post approval

Test and validate the normal operations of the backup drive(s) after maintenance.

Co-ordinate with Tape vaulting vendor appointed by client

remove the faulty tape and adhere to tape discarding process approved by client

log and track physical external storage media in and out of client

Provide tape naming assignments as approved by client

**Salary**: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
