**Job Summary**:
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young learners aged 3-6 years. The role focuses on fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate teaching methods, activities, and play. The teacher must be patient, caring, and passionate about early childhood education, and work in partnership with parents and colleagues to ensure the holistic development of each child.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Classroom Management**:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes curiosity and learning.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials and activities are safe and age-appropriate.
- Establish routines and rules that promote positive behavior and help children understand expectations.
**Curriculum Planning & Implementation**:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school's early childhood education curriculum.
- Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning activities that foster cognitive, emotional, and motor skills.
- Use storytelling, singing, arts, crafts, games, and outdoor activities to promote learning.
- Focus on foundational skills such as language development, basic math, problem-solving, and motor skills.
**Child Development**:
- Observe and assess each child’s progress in various areas such as social interaction, cognitive development, and emotional well-being.
- Identify any learning difficulties or developmental concerns and communicate with parents and specialists as necessary.
- Encourage independence, creativity, and critical thinking among children through appropriate challenges.
**Parental Engagement**:
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Discuss children’s progress and provide guidance for learning at home.
- Engage parents in school activities and workshops related to early childhood education.
**Professional Development**:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in early childhood education, attending workshops and training as necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and the school leadership to improve teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Participate in curriculum reviews and school planning meetings.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:ICSE or ISC**:
- **Experience**: Not required
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of child development principles.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Ability to develop creative and engaging learning activities.
- Classroom management skills suited to a pre-primary age group.
