Job Title: Welder

Location: ON Site : Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai Department: Production / Outfitting / HVAC / Ducting Reporting To: Site Supervisor / Project Engineer Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform welding activities such as SMAW, MIG/MAG, TIG, or FCAW based on project needs.
- Carry out structural welding, pipe welding, or duct welding as per specifications.
- Read and understand welding symbols and engineering drawings.
- Prepare surfaces and joints before welding, including grinding, cleaning, and fitting.
- Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS) and maintain quality standards.
- Assist in the fabrication and installation of HVAC ducting systems (if experienced).
- Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and ensure defect-free work.
- Use and maintain welding tools and equipment properly.
- Adhere to all safety and PPE guidelines at the workplace.

Eligibility Criteria:

- ITI Welder (Gas & Electric) or equivalent trade certification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of welding experience, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication industry.
- Ability to work from fabrication drawings and welding procedure documents.
- Familiar with different types of welding techniques and positions.
- Physically fit and willing to work in demanding conditions, including confined spaces.

Additional Advantage:

- Experience in shipyard HVAC duct welding or marine outfitting.
- Certification in 3G/4G/6G welding positions is an added benefit.
- Previous experience in Mazagon Dock or similar shipbuilding units is desirable.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
