**Role**:Regional Privacy Officer

**The Role**:
To support all entities forming part of PayU India group of companies in their growth plans that include building and implementing a global privacy framework. PayU India is looking for a Regional Privacy Officer, reporting to the Global Chief Privacy Officer. As the Regional Privacy Officer, you will provide privacy support to all entities forming part of PayU India group of companies andyou will form an integral part of PayU Global’s growing and dynamic Global Privacy team with regular and close interaction and collaboration.

**Key Responsibilities**:

Your key responsibilities and activities will include:

- Leading the PayU group’s privacy function in India and driving the development of the privacy framework, taking into the account PayU group’s growth plans.
- Leading the implementation of the upcoming India data protection laws.
- Working closely with the Indian leadership team and providing guidance on data governance matters.
- Maintaining close relationship with business stakeholders, including, but not limited to product, engineering, security and HR, and supporting them in identification and mitigation of privacy risks.
- Providing privacy compliance support in the region, including relevant contracting, assisting with deployment of policies and guidelines, and performing privacy assessments for the relevant business teams regarding the development of new products and services in the Fintech space.
- Driving privacy awareness-raising initiatives and trainings for the region.
- Developing and supporting the processes for responding to privacy-related requests and complaints.
- Providing crisis management advice as needed, including issue resolution, reporting on the data privacy implications of security or IT incidents and reporting to authorities.
- Monitoring local privacy and data protection regulations and industry practices.

**Education, Skills & Experience**:

- At a minimum, a bachelor level degree from a reputed university in India or abroad. Any additional qualifications such as those in relation to privacy will be an advantage. A law degree will be a definite plus.
- minimum [9] years’ experience in a privacy, legal, compliance, or security or data management function involving elements of privacy.
- past privacy experience, including implementation of a privacy program.
- background in FinTech, banking, NBFCs and/or e-commerce will be an advantage,
- strong written and verbal communication in English.
- be an independent, result oriented, self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, international, dynamic, and diverse environment.
- strong organizational and priority setting skills, and demonstrated ability to handle and complete several projects simultaneously within defined timelines.
