**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Counseling and Emotional Support**:

- Provide one-on-one counseling to students to address emotional, personal, and social issues.
- Offer guidance on stress management, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
- Assist students in resolving interpersonal conflicts and building healthy relationships with peers and faculty.
- **Academic Guidance**:

- Help students develop effective study habits, time management skills, and organizational techniques.
- Advise students on course selection, academic planning, and setting realistic academic goals.
- Support students who may be struggling academically, providing solutions and strategies for improvement.
- **Career Counseling**:

- Guide students in exploring career options, identifying their interests, and setting long-term career goals.
- Help with job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation.
- Organize career development workshops and job fairs.
- **Crisis Intervention**:

- Provide immediate support to students during crises or moments of distress.
- Offer intervention services for students dealing with bullying, trauma, abuse, or any other critical situations.
- Refer students to external counseling or medical services if necessary.
- **Workshops and Seminars**:

- Organize and conduct workshops on topics such as mental health, career planning, effective communication, and personal development.
- Engage students through group counseling sessions on self-improvement and life skills.
- **Collaboration with Faculty and Parents**:

- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of students.
- Keep faculty informed about any issues that may impact student performance or well-being, while maintaining confidentiality.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of student counseling sessions and interventions.
- Prepare reports on the counseling services provided and monitor the progress of students.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Additional certification or training in counseling or mental health is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in student counseling or a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Experience in crisis intervention and handling sensitive situations.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Empathy and the ability to build trust with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of students and help them navigate personal, academic, and career-related challenges.
