We at Meclusions are looking for Fresher Script Writer to write Scripts and Dialogues for our (and our client's) 2D/3D Animation, Feature Films & Youtube Series. We are seeking a visionary and resourceful **Story Writer** to craft the screenplay for our animated feature film. This is a unique opportunity to shape a narrative from the ground up, working with a small, highly passionate team. We are committed to creating a compelling story with a lean budget, and we need a writer who understands how to tell a powerful story efficiently. Your ability to create a script with mínimal, yet impactful, characters and settings will be key to our success. You will be the core creative voice, responsible for developing the plot, characters, and dialogue that will drive our film. You will work closely with the director to translate a high-level concept into a full-fledged screenplay that is both emotionally resonant and production-friendly. If you are a gifted storyteller who can work with constraints and understands the intricacies of the animation process, we want you on our team. **Responsibilities** - Develop a compelling story from a logline or high-level concept. - Write a complete screenplay, including scene descriptions, character dialogue, and pacing. - Create detailed character arcs and build a cohesive world for the film. - Collaborate with the director and the art team to ensure the story is visually feasible and aligns with the film's aesthetic. - Revise the script based on feedback, adapting to new ideas and production realities. - Conduct research to ensure the authenticity and richness of the film's world. **Using AI** is also a quality that will be an addon feather to your resume and chances of selection increases by that. This involves brainstorming, outlining, and developing the emotional core of the story. You will be thinking visually, knowing that every scene, character, and line of dialogue will ultimately be translated into animation. - **The Pragmatic Writer**: On a low budget, every element counts. You will need to write scenes that can be animated affordably. This means avoiding overly complex crowd scenes, minimizing the number of intricate characters, and finding clever ways to tell the story through action and efficient dialogue. Your resourcefulness in storytelling is a primary asset. - **Collaboration and Feedback**: This is not a solitary job. You will be in constant communication with the director and the art team. You must be able to take constructive criticism and be willing to revise your work to align with the evolving production. **Softwares**: - **Final Draft / Celtx**: These are industry-standard screenwriting software. **Celtx** has a free version, which makes it an ideal option for a low-budget production. These programs automatically format a screenplay, which is a non-negotiable for professional work. - **Google Docs**: For collaborative brainstorming and document sharing. The TD can use it to store notes and share them with the entire team. - **A.I. Writing Tools**: Familiarity with AI assistants like ChatGPT or Google's Gemini can be a major plus.
