Job Description: English & SST Teacher (Grades 6-8)**Position Overview**
- **Role**: Full-time English and Social Studies Teacher for Middle Grades (6-8).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in **English language, literature**, and **Social Studies (History, Geography, Civics)**.
- Prepare students for Cambridge assessments using appropriate testing and evaluation tools.
- Use creative, interactive pedagogies including group activities, projects, and debates to foster critical thinking.
- Integrate curriculum resources such as textbooks, multimedia, maps, and primary sources.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain student records (grades, attendance, progress reports).
- Collaborate with peers, participate in team meetings, contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.
- Engage with parents through parent-teacher meetings and written feedback.
- Support co‑curricular activities: clubs, field trips, presentations, etc.
- Align lessons with school’s mission of holistic, internationally-minded education.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in English, History, Geography, Education, or related field. B.Ed./PGCTE preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum 2 years teaching experience in middle grades (6-8), ideally in IGCSE or IB environments.
- **Skills**: Strong command of English, lesson planning, classroom management, assessment design.
- **Attributes**: Culturally aware, collaborative, student-focused, tech-savvy (familiar with smart classes/iPads etc.), enthusiastic about international education.
