**Job Title**: Accountant - Diamond Sector

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Maintain Financial Records**: Accurately maintain financial records for the company, including transactions related to sales, purchases, and inventory.
- **Tally Management**: Manage day-to-day accounting tasks using **Tally** software, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
- **Reconciliation**: Perform bank and cash reconciliations, ensuring the records are aligned with the company's accounts.
- **Invoicing & Billing**: Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely payment collection and following up on overdue accounts.
- **Inventory Accounting**: Track and manage inventory levels, including the cost of goods sold (COGS) for diamond stock, and update records accordingly.
- **Taxation & Compliance**: Assist with the preparation of tax returns (GST, TDS) and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- **Costing & Budgeting**: Assist with the preparation of budgets and cost analysis for various departments within the company.
- **Vendor & Customer Relations**: Coordinate with vendors and customers regarding invoicing and payment queries.
- **Audit Support**: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: 2-3 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in the diamond, jewelry, or luxury goods industry.
- **Software Proficiency**: Proficient in **Tally** and other accounting software.
- **Knowledge of Accounting Principles**: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- **Problem Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
- **Certifications**: Additional certifications in accounting (CA Inter/ICWA) would be a plus.

**Preferred**:

- Prior experience in the **diamond industry** or related fields.
- Knowledge of inventory management in the diamond sector.
