Job Description:
Micron is a global leader in memory and storage solutions. With its own NAND, Micron has a significant advantage in developing its SSD drives. Micron launched world’s first 176 layer QLC NAND.
Data Center SSD (DC SSD) team at Micron India is growing and is working to develop DC SSD drive out of India. DC SSD in Micron India has teams both in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This is Senior Manager Engineering role for enterprise SSD controller simulation. This role will lead simulator development and architecture for all enterprise SSD drives developed in Micron. Individual will work with firmware, controller, architecture, validation teams to develop and enhance simulator features of enterprise SSD drives. Simulator has to left shift FW development and decrease overall proto and development cost

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage team and lead simulation development for DC SSD drives and controller
- Work with controller team and architecture team to come up with simulator features
- Work with firmware team to develop simulation features that helps left shirt FW development
- Work with FTE(firmware test) team to help them execute HW FTE test scripts on simulator
- Work with Simulator architect to plan and execute development as per product plan
- Work with NAND team to integrate NAND model features in simulator, that can left shirt FW development before NAND is ready

Senior Manager should have following qualification:

- Strong SSD and simulator knowledge
- Should have worked and managed design/development/SSD Firmware/simulator development
- Hands-on-experience in as many areas as possible: NVME, FTL, NAND media, controller design
- Ability to lead team to architect and design independently
- Should have worked on development products grounds up
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
- Ability and track record to work across teams and geography
