**Job Overview**:
The Textile Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of têxtile products, from sourcing materials to working with manufacturers, ensuring timely production, and coordinating with clients. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers, staying updated on industry trends, and ensuring that products meet both design and financial objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sourcing & Development**: Identify and source new fabrics, materials, and suppliers based on market trends and company needs.
- **Production Management**: Oversee the production process, ensuring timelines are met, and maintaining quality control standards.
- **Supplier Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate best prices, lead times, and payment terms.
- **Client Coordination**: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, offer product suggestions, and ensure client satisfaction.
- **Trend Analysis**: Stay updated on the latest têxtile trends, designs, and technological advancements in the industry.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor stock levels and forecast demands to prevent shortages or overstock.
- **Costing and Pricing**: Calculate production costs, negotiate pricing, and provide accurate cost estimates to clients.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure products meet both internal and external quality standards before delivery.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work closely with design, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth product development and delivery.
- **Market Research**: Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to guide product development and merchandising strategies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in têxtile merchandising, sourcing, or product management.
- Strong understanding of fabric types, manufacturing processes, and têxtile production timelines.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using industry software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A strong eye for detail and design.
- Knowledge of sustainability trends in têxtiles is a plus.
