Pre-primary Teacher

**Job Summary**

The **Pre-Primary Facilitator** plays a vital role in nurturing the early learning experiences of young children (ages 3-6). This role involves creating a stimulating, safe, and engaging environment that fosters cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The facilitator will use interactive and play-based teaching methods to build foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving.

**Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning**
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities based on early childhood education frameworks.
- Use play-based, hands-on, and experiential learning strategies to engage young learners.
- Introduce foundational literacy, numeracy, and motor skills through storytelling, music, art, and movement.
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and social interaction among children.

**Child Development and Well-being**
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas for additional support or enrichment.
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where children feel safe and valued.
- Guide children in developing essential social skills, such as cooperation, sharing, and communication.
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being by following health, hygiene, and child protection guidelines.

**Parental Engagement and Communication**
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
- Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings and provide guidance on supporting early learning at home.
- Collaborate with families to create a holistic learning experience that extends beyond the classroom.

**Classroom Management and Organization**
- Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom with age-appropriate learning materials and resources.
- Establish routines that help children feel secure and develop independence.
- Implement behavior management techniques that promote positive interactions and self-regulation.

**Professional Development and Collaboration**
- Work closely with fellow educators, teaching assistants, and support staff to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and curriculum development discussions.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and child psychology.

**QualificationsEducation**
- Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, or a related field (required).
- Additional certifications in child development or special needs education (preferred).

**Experience**
- Prior experience in an early childhood education setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, or play-based learning approaches is an advantage.
