**Responsibilities**:

- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and custom coding.
- Set up and configure WooCommerce for eCommerce functionality (product listings, payment gateways, etc.).
- Ensure websites are optimized for speed, security, and performance.
- Install, update, and configure plugins, ensuring compatibility with WordPress core and WooCommerce.
- Customize themes to align with the design and functionality requirements of the project.
- Configure product pages, categories, and attributes within WooCommerce.
- Set up and manage WooCommerce payment gateways, shipping options, and taxes.
- Monitor and ensure smooth functioning of the online store, handling issues like cart abandonment and checkout problems.
- Perform regular backups and security updates.
- Troubleshoot website issues such as downtime, broken pages, or slow performance.
- Implement SEO best practices for on-page optimization.
- Manage and monitor SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast or RankMath).
- Gather requirements, provide technical advice, and deliver progress reports.
- Offer post-launch support for clients, fixing bugs, and providing assistance.

**Requirements**:

- Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with WooCommerce, setting up stores, and managing eCommerce functionalities.
- Knowledge of MySQL databases and database management.
- Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Understanding of REST APIs for integrating third-party tools with WordPress/WooCommerce.
- 2-3 years of experience working with WordPress and WooCommerce (for most mid-level roles).
- Proven experience in developing and launching eCommerce websites using WooCommerce.
- Problem-solving ability, with a focus on debugging and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, especially in explaining technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Git or version control systems.
- Experience with hosting environments like cPanel, WHM, and cloud platforms such as AWS or DigitalOcean.
- Proficiency in website performance monitoring and improvement tools (e.g., Google Lighthouse, GTMetrix).

**Additional Desirable Skills**:

- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Experience with WooCommerce plugins like Subscriptions or Memberships.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
