**Role Description**

AFC Sanctions & Embargoes Technology program is set up to build the target state of core S&E process with appropriate technological support and assist with the development of a single case management system (Sanctions Workbench UI) scaled globally which is interlinked with other core controls systems of the bank (e.g. transaction filter case management, MI dashboards, KYC systems).

**Your key responsibilities**
- Enables team to be fully functional and productive. Work as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach for the team to facilitate all SAFe team events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives, and daily standups
- Lead multiple Agile teams on Agile methodologies with a servant leadership style
- As an RTE - manage the ART, monitor and report the progress of the ART
- Perform periodic sync meetings with SMs and stakeholders
- Enables a culture of working across teams to resolve blockers with mutual participation and any other stakeholders if needed.
- Understand program priorities, coach the team to take the right call based on priorities
- Focus on relentless improvements, visualize team flow, and guide team for further improvements; keep the status and progress of objective features up to date in JIRA
- Produce sprint and release progress/status reports as required for senior stakeholders, project working groups, and steering committees
- Monitor Lean-Waste, maintain Risk and Issues logs and work with the product owner group to feed in new stories that arise from issues or risks into the product backlog
- Shares responsibility for quality of work delivered by his/her team. Holds him/herself and the team accountable.
- Shields the team from external interference that might decrease focus
- Ensures that the team lives by the values and practices of scrum
- Plays a crucial interface role between the technical team and the product owner, ensuring there is good collaboration.
- Ensures the full team is clear on the product owner's current priorities; knows what and the why at all times.
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog

**Your skills and experience**
- Experience of working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum, Kanban, XP, LESS or SAFe and sound understanding of DevOps practices
- Ability to create and manage team metrics (burndown, burnup, velocity, feature lead time, predictability) and Program metrics (waste) and be able use this as evidence to coach teams of teams or program on how to improve flow
- Effectively facilitate Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and retrospectives. Have experience in facilitating program level workshops to improve systemic flow. (Release process or reducing waste)
- Agile Certification and Strong knowledge of Agile fundamentals, values, manifesto and practical implementation. Have experience on working with the teams to understand which agile methodology works best for them. Be able to work with the program to implement them
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, TFS, Confluence, and GIT
- Ability to drive TDD, BDD, JIRA Hygiene, Code Coverage, Code Quality, and other Development Best practices
- Experience of implementing multiple coaching techniques when working with Teams and Individuals (e.g. Active listening, powerful questioning, reflection, feedback, GROW model etc). Experience in coaching other Scrum Masters.
- Experience working as RTE, managing scrum of scrum of multiple teams
- Experience in designing and delivering training sessions to kick start Scrum Adoptions within the team or teams of teams.
- Experience in coaching the Product Owner and business on refinement of the backlog, ready for big room planning.
- Experience in **stakeholder management **and building excellent professional relationships

Desirable skills
- Earlier Anti-Financial Crime / Financial Domain experience is a plus
- Beneficial to have understanding of financial products
- Customer and service orientation to support interaction with team resources and clients

Education / Qualifications Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university, ideally with an IT-related concentration (or equivalent diploma/work experience)
