The Data Controls Associate reports to the VP of Data Quality Controls to conduct quality control activities on Preqin’s data. The main objective of the role is to implement and perform quality control activities with the goal of improving data quality. The Associate works closely with data owners to understand the data collection process and supports in improving procedures.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Possess a strong understanding of the data collection processes and analysis skills
- Perform regular quality control checks on Preqin datasets
- Identify and analyze data quality issues and recommend remediation plans
- Perform initial data assessment and profiling
- Report data issues on the internal feedback system
- Conduct control activities in other areas of the business to improve the feedback management process
- Occasionally participate in data quality improvement projects to assist business processes
- Develop data quality reporting on PowerBi

**Key Requirements for this Role**
- 2+ years of professional experience in data collection and data processing
- Strong understanding of Alternative Assets
- Should have experience in Office 365: Sharepoint and PowerBI
- Experience in analysing, investigating, and assessing data to make appropriate and timely recommendations/decisions and identify root causes of data anomaly
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Varied and detailed knowledge of data management areas such as data quality, lineage, metadata management
