- Overall Experience
- 6+ years
- At least 3 years of experience in ITOM BAU
- At least 1+ years of experience in Design and Implementation of Service Now ITOM Modules and Integrations - Event Management, CSDM, Discovery
- Responsible for ServiceNow Discovery Activities.
- Monitors discovery and service mapping results, reconciling and addressing any anomalies.
- Works with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure CI completeness & correctness.
- Experience with understanding data center components for mapping to CMDB.
- Fundamental understanding of networking including TCP/IP ports, firewalls, Network Protocols and IP networks.
- Intermediate level understanding of CMDB classes
- Working knowledge on clearing CMDB discovery related issues such as duplicate CIs, Port Issues and permission issues etc.
- Implementation/Design of CMDB MID Servers. Proactively plans capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and maintains and configures appropriately.
- Maintenance of MID servers.
- Knowledge on Implementation of cloud based discovery (internal & external) preferred
- Establishes, monitors and maintains discovery schedules.
- Ensures that horizontal discovery products are highly available, reliable, and performant.
- Exposure to third-party tools for integrations like SCCM, Orchestration, Qualys, Flexera, Orion and similar tool set.
- Knowledge on Service Mapping preferred
- Participate in project activities including project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.
- Create/Maintain ServiceNow discovery documentation/standard operating procedures documents.
- Must be ITIL Foundation / CSA certified.
- Certified CIS-ITSM / CIS-Discovery preferred.
