Software Development Engineer (NMS)

Infinera NM team is looking for a Software Engineer who is open to the challenge of building a new software

platform. Deployed in computing platforms, ranging from large datacenters to systems with very limited

computing power, the product is being developed with a horizontally scalable, event driven, MicroService architecture.

As a Software Development Engineer at Infinera you will work in a cross-functional, agile team developing NMS products. You will work in open environment in close collaboration with the rest of the R&D organization. Our work includes everything from product concept to finished product - a process that spans over the entire development chain. The team takes full responsibility that a new feature is delivered on time with the right quality using state of the art continuous integration pipelines. We strive for fully automated test suites both on unit, function, and system level.

As a software develop
_ment_ engineer, you will be responsible for system design and programing ensuring the functionality and quality of Infinera's products before the new features and enhancements are released to end users. This means that you will work with most of the company's portfolio which leads to a quick and good overall system understanding.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Pick development tasks from the team
- Design and implement new functions using required technologies such as such as Dockers, Hibernate, JMS, YANG, YAML, JSON etc.
- Peer code reviews
- Use agile development using tools such as, JIRA, GIT, Confluence and CI/CD with Jenkins
- Debug along with hardware and software engineers

Technical Skill Required:

- Programing Languages - Java, Python, JavaScript
- Database Systems: SQL(Oracle/Postgre)
- SW Platforms: Cloud based container providers - AWS/Azure/GC, Angular/ReactJS(Good to have)
- Architecture paradigms: Event Driven Architecture (e.g. Kafka, NATs), REST Interface based systems

Experience Necessary for Success:

- Experience 8+ years within SW development
- Experience in Product Development, or Full stack development
- Flexible, innovative, and driven
- Structured and thorough with analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Highly motivated team player
- Agile way of working
- Driven and willing to take own initiatives
