Collect the Patient Movement Form and tell the patient to wait for NCT/AR and Refraction
- Call the patient after their turn
- Explain the patients the need and importance of the NCT /AR procedure
- Clear the doubts of patients politely
- Clean and disinfect the NCT/AR Machine in front of patient
- Change the chin rest paper for each patient
- Follow the 5 step accuracy protocol for Refraction
- Intimate the Lasik counseling department if patient have Lasik suitable power and direct patient to Lasik counseling
- Take the Patient history
- Perform vision tests and analyze results
- Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases, such as glaucoma
- Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation
- Provide pre
- and post operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery—for example, examining a patient’s eyes the day after surgery
- Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases such as diabetes.
- Promote eye health by counseling patients, including explaining how to clean and wear contact lenses
- Give training to the interns and B Sc students about the procedures in their posting place
- Record the leave details of the B Sc students those have posting in the hospital
- Discuss requirement, problems & improvements to be made in the weekly optometry meeting
- IPD marking and complaint management
- Dilated Examinations - DR, CR
- Instrument management - Keratometer, Synoptophore, OCT, FFA AND B-SCAN
- Any other responsibility assigned by the management
