Job Description: School Librarian

**Location**: Bangalore
**Experience Required**: 3-5 years in a school setting
**Availability**: Immediate Joiner

**Job Role & Responsibilities**:

- **Library Management**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring a well-organized and welcoming environment for students and staff.
- Maintain an up-to-date catalog of books, periodicals, and digital resources.
- Implement and update library policies and procedures.
- **Resource Development**:

- Curate, procure, and manage age-appropriate books, e-resources, and multimedia learning materials.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify curriculum-related resources.
- **Reader Engagement**:

- Foster a love for reading by organizing book clubs, reading challenges, and storytelling sessions.
- Assist students in selecting books that align with their interests and academic needs.
- **Digital Literacy and Technology**:

- Introduce students to research methods and the effective use of library databases and digital tools.
- Conduct workshops on citation, plagiarism, and responsible online behavior.
- **Record Keeping and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned items.
- Generate periodic reports on library usage, resource inventory, and student engagement.
- **Collaboration and Events**:

- Coordinate with teachers for resource integration into lesson plans.
- Organize events such as author visits, book fairs, and library orientation sessions.

**Key Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a school library setting.
- Strong organizational and cataloging skills.
- Familiarity with digital library management systems and e-resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for promoting reading and learning among students.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Must be available to join immediately.
- Willingness to stay on campus as part of the school community.
- Proactive attitude, team spirit, and adaptability to a school environment.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
