**Aims**: Develop and implement lesson plans under the leadership of a dynamic Headteacher, following the EYFS curriculum.

**Role Summary**:
Our client is creating a brand-new preschool in Mumbai, and is seeking dynamic, experienced Nursery/Reception teachers to join their team. Opening in September 2024, the School offers both short-term (6 months) and permanent positions. This exciting new venture is part of the prestigious Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. Located in central Mumbai, the School aims to redefine early childhood education. They strive to create a space that feels like a second home, supporting and enhancing the growth and wellbeing of every child in the community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Design and implement creative and engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children from infancy through early years, ensuring that activities are age-appropriate, educational, and fun.
- **Tailored Learning**: Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials to suit the different developmental stages of the children, ensuring inclusivity and individualized attention.
- **Child-Centered Approaches**: Utilize child-led learning methods, drawing from Montessori or Reggio Emilia approaches, to foster independence, creativity, and critical thinking in students.
- **Social & Emotional Development**: Encourage children’s social and emotional growth by promoting positive interactions, fostering empathy, and providing guidance on managing emotions and building relationships.
- **Parental Engagement**: Regularly communicate with parents and caregivers about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring an open and supportive relationship between school and home.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment where children can explore and learn confidently.
- **Assessment & Observation**: Regularly observe and assess children’s progress, documenting key developmental milestones, and adjusting lesson plans as needed to ensure continuous growth.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest educational practices and early years’ development theories.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Education**:PGCE/IPGCE qualification, or a degree in Child Development, Early Years Education, or a related field.
- **Experience**: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a Nursery or Reception setting, with hands-on experience managing early years classrooms.
- **Pedagogical Expertise**:Familiarity with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or other progressive child-centred educational philosophies is essential, as is experience incorporating these approaches into daily lesson planning.
- **Professional Qualifications**:CACHE Level 3 (or above) certification in childcare and education is highly desirable.
- **Behavioural Management**:Experience in managing classroom behaviours and creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

**Dates/Times**:
Starting from September 2024, lasting for at least the 2024/25 academic year.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per year
