Role/Responsibilities
Moody’s RE-IGNITE is a 16-week paid full-time opportunity designed for individuals wishing to re-enter the workforce after a minimum two-year hiatus. Through this initiative, we hope to find passionate and dedicated professionals who want to resume their career, hone their individual skills and flourish in their professional journey.
RE-IGNITERS join Moody’s for a 16-week duration, and in addition to the work associated with their role, RE-IGNITERS receive coaching & mentoring, leadership development, networking opportunities, and guidance on trainings that could support them in their re-entry. At the end of the program, RE-IGNITERS based on their performance, can be considered for being hired as permanent employee for our open positions.
Role/Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform financial statement analysis using accounting and finance principles to read and understand financial statements and other disclosures related to debt issuers’ performance.
- Create a variety of standard initial work package items that serve as starting point to the ratings and research process including data, spreadsheets, charts, and tables:

- Update financial spreadsheets, charts and tables
- Initiate/escalate deeper reviews when necessary
- Prepare presentation materials for outreach activities.
- Support monitoring of analyst credit portfolios through news and industry source tracking and highlight key issues requiring further analysis.
- Create documentation and provide guidance to support analysts and outsourcers.
- Support the credit administration process and perform other routine administrative and ad hoc tasks.

**Qualifications**:

For RE-IGNITE:

- Minimum of a 2-year career hiatus
For this role:

- Minimum graduate degree. Preferably a post graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in credit, financial research & analysis.
- Good Accounting background.
- Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
