Lab Chemist

**Position Title**: Lab Chemist - Cosmetics
Location: Umargam, Gujarat

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Product Development**:

- Develop and formulate cosmetic products, including skincare, haircare, personal care, and toiletries.
- Innovate and enhance existing formulations based on market trends and customer feedback.
- Work on the stability, safety, and efficacy testing of products.
- Develop prototypes and conduct pilot batches for new products.
- **Formulation Testing and Analysis**:

- Conduct laboratory testing to evaluate physical, chemical, and sensory properties of raw materials and finished products.
- Perform sensory and stability tests to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Assist in the evaluation and approval of raw materials and ingredients used in formulations.
- **Quality Control and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all cosmetic formulations comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation, etc.).
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of testing procedures and results.
- Ensure products are safe for consumer use by conducting dermatological, toxicity, and allergen tests as needed.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare detailed reports for product development processes, formulations, and testing results.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks and proper documentation for all formulations and experiments.
- Update technical files and support regulatory submissions when required.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with the product development, marketing, and manufacturing teams to optimize formulations.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to source raw materials and ingredients.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team regarding scale-up processes.
- **Research and Innovation**:

- Stay current with cosmetic industry trends, new ingredients, and advancements in formulation technologies.
- Conduct research on new materials and processes that can enhance product performance and sustainability.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance product quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.

**Key Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory or formulation development role within the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or personal care industry.
- Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulations, and product testing procedures.
- Familiarity with cosmetic industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, EU, etc.).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
