Assistant Professor

**eaching and Instruction**:

- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and resources for OTAT courses.
- Guide students through practical assignments, lab work, and clinical experiences.
- Conduct assessments, grade assignments, and provide feedback on student performance.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, especially those working on projects or thesis work.
- **Research and Scholarship**:

- Conduct original research in the fields of Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology.
- Publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences.
- Seek and manage research funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments, institutions, and professionals to enhance research outcomes in OTAT.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in the field.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Assist in the design and development of curricula, including creating new courses and updating existing ones.
- Work with faculty members to ensure that the curriculum meets academic standards and accreditation requirements.
- Integrate current trends in OT and AT into teaching materials.
- **Clinical Experience and Practice**:

- Supervise and coordinate students' clinical practice in OTAT, ensuring they gain hands-on experience in the field.
- Maintain professional connections with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or clinics to provide students with opportunities for real-world experience.
- Assist students in understanding and using assistive technologies in various practical settings.
- **Academic Advising**:

- Provide academic counseling to students regarding their academic progress, career development, and future opportunities in OTAT.
- Assist students in finding internships, volunteer work, or employment related to OT and AT.
- **Service and Administration**:

- Participate in departmental meetings and university committees.
- Contribute to the administrative functions of the department, including managing student records, preparing reports, and handling accreditation processes.
- Help organize seminars, workshops, and conferences to further the department’s mission.
- **Professional Development**:

- Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, courses, and other learning opportunities.
- Attend professional conferences and engage in networking to stay up-to-date with emerging trends in OT and AT.

Qualifications:

- **Education**:

- A **Doctoral degree** (Ph.D. or equivalent) in **Occupational Therapy, Assistive Technology, Rehabilitation Science**, or a related field is typically required, though a **Master’s degree** with extensive experience may also be considered.
- Certification or licensure as an **Occupational Therapist** is often required.
- **Experience**:

- At least **2-5 years of teaching** experience in the field of Occupational Therapy and/or Assistive Technology at the university or clinical level.
- Proven experience in **clinical practice** as an occupational therapist, especially working with assistive devices or technology.
- Experience in **research** related to OTAT, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong familiarity with modern **assistive technology** tools, software, and hardware.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teaching and advising students.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Ability to use assistive technologies and teach students how to incorporate them into therapy.

Pay: ₹21,600.91 - ₹35,000.93 per month
