Job Description: Primary Teacher (English)

Position Title: Primary Teacher Grade 3 to 5 Subject: English

Department: Academic - Primary Section

Location: Castleblack International School, Kalachowki, Cotton Green

Reports To: Principal

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate English lessons (reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and comprehension).
- Use diverse and interactive teaching methodologies including phonics, storytelling, creative writing, and group activities.
- Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources as per curriculum guidelines.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Track and report student progress regularly; provide constructive feedback.
- Guide and support junior teachers as needed and assist in departmental coordination and academic planning.
- Participate actively in school events, workshops, parent meetings, and staff development sessions.

**Qualifications & Skills**:
**Mandatory Qualifications**:

- TGT : Graduate/Postgraduate in English
- Experience in Academic Coordination or Grade-level Leadership

**Preferred Additional Qualifications**:

- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification
- Formal training in child-centered or experiential education methods

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2-4 years of teaching experience in English at the primary or middle school level
- Experience in managing academic responsibilities or coordination roles

**Skills**:

- Fluent spoken and written English communication
- Strong lesson planning and classroom management abilities
- Familiarity with child psychology and age-appropriate pedagogy
- Digital literacy: Ability to use online teaching tools.
