**FITTER JOB DESCRIPTION**

Job Overview

A fitter in the chemical industry installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical equipment and machinery. They also troubleshoot and diagnose problems, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with other departments for machinery setup and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Record maintenance activities and prepare reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, preferably in the agrochemical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
