Prt Social Science Teacher

**Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives in social science. Integrate various teaching methodologies, resources, and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
- **Subject Instruction**: Teach students fundamental concepts in social studies, including geography, history, civics, economics, and culture, using interactive and experiential learning approaches. Foster students' curiosity about the world, promote cultural understanding, and encourage respect for diversity.
- **Critical Thinking**: Stimulate critical thinking and inquiry skills by posing thought-provoking questions, facilitating discussions, and engaging students in hands-on projects and research-based activities. Encourage students to analyze primary and secondary sources, interpret data, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
- **Classroom Management**: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote student participation, collaboration, and respect for classroom rules and routines.
- **Assessment and Feedback**: Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, such as quizzes, projects, presentations, and written assignments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and achievement.
- **Parent Communication**: Maintain open and regular communication with parents or guardians regarding students' academic progress, behavior, and any concerns. Collaborate with parents to support student learning and address individual needs or challenges as they arise.
- **Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills, stay abreast of best practices in social science education, and fulfill continuing education requirements. Participate in workshops, conferences, and peer learning communities to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- **School Engagement**: Contribute to the overall school community by participating in faculty meetings, school events, and committees. Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share resources, and coordinate interdisciplinary projects or activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, History, Geography, or a related field. Teaching certification or licensure preferred.
- Deep understanding of social science concepts, curriculum standards, and instructional strategies appropriate for primary students.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for working with young learners and fostering their intellectual, social, and emotional development.
- Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources for teaching and learning.
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes mutual respect among students.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities as required by the school.
