**SQL Database Administrator (DBA) Job DescriptionPosition Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Management**:

- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Manage and maintain database servers, instances, and clusters.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
- **Performance Optimization**:

- Monitor database performance and tune system parameters for optimal performance.
- Identify and resolve slow-running queries, deadlocks, and indexing issues.
- Perform capacity planning to meet future database growth.
- **Data Security & Backup**:

- Implement and manage database security, including user roles and permissions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Develop and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Perform routine backups and recovery tests.
- **Database Development & Support**:

- Collaborate with development teams to support database schema design and coding best practices.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
- Support and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- **Monitoring & Reporting**:

- Set up automated monitoring and alerts for critical system thresholds.
- Create and maintain documentation for database configurations and processes.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong experience with SQL Server (2016 and later versions preferred).
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
- Knowledge of database security, backup/restoration strategies, and high-availability solutions (e.g., Always On, replication).
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SolarWinds DPA, or Redgate.
- Hands-on experience with Transact-SQL (T-SQL), stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Knowledge of cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong documentation skills.

**Educational Requirements**:

- Only B.TECH and MCA required.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Database Administrator Associate are a plus.

**Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator or in a similar role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹550,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
