**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Research and write a **minimum of 6 original, high-quality news articles per day**.
- **Identify, pitch, and develop newsworthy story ideas** across multiple beats.
- **Interview public figures**, experts, and key sources to gather insights and quotes.
- Convert interviews into engaging articles, Q&A pieces, or profile features.
- **Cover breaking news** and provide real-time updates with accuracy and speed.
- Fact-check all content and ensure adherence to journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.
- Write **attention-grabbing headlines and SEO-friendly content**.
- **Work closely with video and social media teams** to repurpose written content for different formats.
- Maintain an organised content calendar and meet tight daily deadlines.
- **Track article performance using analytics tools** and optimize content based on engagement.
- Stay updated with current affairs, global trends, and competitor content.
- Collaborate with editors and senior writers to enhance the depth and tone of coverage.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in digital news writing or reporting.
- Proven experience conducting professional interviews.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), news wires, and digital publishing tools.
- Ability to work in a **fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom** environment.
- Understanding of SEO, social media trends, and digital engagement metrics.
