Introduction:
What will you be doing?
- Manage Run The Bank (RTB) deliveries with efficient operations (based on ITIL Framework)
- Manage & Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless port-mortem and ensure effective permanent solution applied.
- Work with Build the Bank, GTIS (Infra), GTSM (Service Management) and Operations to identify manual tasks and automate.
- Innovate with cutting edge Barclays approved technologies and tools to demonstrate efficiency gain by automation.
- Strong communication and written skillset to engage with various senior Business and IT stakeholders.
- New hire should be flexible to work in APAC/ UK shifts as per business need in rotating shift with other colleagues to cover APAC and EMEA business hours.
- New hire should be flexible to work during weekends for any on calls as per the need in rotating weekend on-call coverage to cover 24*7 support model.

What we’re looking for:

- Degree in information systems or computer science or any equivalent.
- Knowledge of IB Business - clear understanding of trade lifecycle with special focus on basic understanding of Prime Brokerage, Equity Finance, Clearing, Settlements, Confirmations or Recon flows.
- Proven experience in working with structured and/or unstructured databases like Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB
- Proven experience in scripting technologies like (one or more) Python, Shell, Java, PHP, SQL, etc.
- Proven experience in working with Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of scheduling tools like Autosys or others.
- Certified or excellent knowledge of ITIL practices.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Familiar with Integration technologies like - Solace/MQ/Kafka.
- Knowledge of DevOps and understanding of various stages of Agile Change life cycle.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, Dockers/OpenShift.
- Knowledge of Development frameworks like Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Angular, etc
- Good analytical skills and experience in investigating business queries related to trading and settlement :(i.e.: trade and contract accruals, contract rates/costs, Marking/pricing, trade processing etc)
