EHS Coordinator / Safety Officer

Location : Seco Tools, Koregaon Bhima, Pune

Job Profile Summary

Promotes continuous improvement in an area of expertise within Environment, Health and Safety to improve performance and/or develop EHS as a business advantage.

**Job Description**:
Supports the implementation of the organization’s environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulation.
- Support to conduct studies, audits and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health laws, standards and regulations
- Ensures accidents are investigated.
- Promotes safety-conscious work performance and training programs
- Provides safety performance measures
- Determines root cause analysis
- Support the achievement of EHS targets.
- Provide all EHS trainings required to educate employees regarding hazards, incidents and preventive measures for same.
- Ensure implementation of global standards.
- Ensure compliance pertaining to environmental matters as per various legislations concerned and as prescribed by pollution control board with respect to water, air, noise and waste disposal.
- Ensure availability and upkeep of appropriate fire-fighting & fire detection facility.
- Audit regularly the site against local and group standards/ policies and ensure compliance.
- Continuously assess possible risks and hazards and suggest measures to forestall any event of incident.
- Implement and ensure Work Permit System.
- Support & arrange annual health check-up for all employees
- Contractor management for safety compliances
- Ensure timely reporting of EHS performance as per global standard.
- Graduation with minimum 7 Years of experience with Diploma in Industrial Safety.
