- A designer is an organization or individual whose business involves preparing or modifying designs for construction projects, or arranging for, or instructing, others to do this. Designs include drawings, design details, specifications, bills of quantity and design calculations.

- Confers with and advises clients on graphic design and multimedia projects; creates design concepts and makes recommendations to clients; determines format, layout, art work, photography, paper type, colors, typeface, typesetting specifications, ink selections, size, and finish; estimates project costs and production.
