**Job Summary**: The CAD Jewellery Designer is responsible for creating intricate and precise jewellery designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This role involves transforming conceptual ideas into digital designs, collaborating with clients and production teams, and ensuring the accurate translation of designs into the final jewellery pieces. The CAD Jewellery Designer will leverage their technical expertise, creativity, and attention to detail to produce high-quality jewellery designs that meet client requirements and align with the brand's aesthetic.

**Responsibilities**:
**CAD Jewellery Design**:

- Utilize CAD software Matrix to create 2D and 3D digital jewellery designs.
- Transform conceptual sketches or client specifications into detailed and accurate digital renderings.
- Incorporate various design elements, including gemstones, metals, textures, and engraving, into the digital designs.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible for manufacturing, considering factors like material constraints, structural integrity, and production techniques.
- Maintain a library of digital components and design templates for efficient design iterations and customization.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and translate them into CAD designs.
- Participate in design review meetings to present and discuss design concepts, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary.
- Work closely with the production team, providing technical guidance and support to ensure accurate manufacturing of the designed jewellery pieces.

**Technical Documentation**:

- Create comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for each jewellery design, including dimensions, materials, gemstone placements, and finishing details.
- Generate accurate bills of materials (BOM) and assist in sourcing appropriate materials and gemstones for production.
- Document design revisions and maintain an organized file system for design records and project documentation.

**Quality Control**:

- Conduct thorough inspections of digital designs to ensure they meet the desired quality standards, design specifications, and brand guidelines.
- Review prototypes or samples of jewellery pieces to verify that they accurately reflect the CAD designs and make adjustments or refinements as needed.

**Market Research and Trends**:

- Stay updated with the latest jewellery design trends, emerging technologies, and industry advancements related to CAD jewellery design.
- Conduct market research to identify customer preferences, competitor designs, and market demands to inform design decisions and stay competitive.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD Jewellery Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating intricate jewellery designs using CAD software.

**Skills**:

- Expertise in CAD software for jewellery design, such as Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in creating 2D and 3D digital jewellery designs, incorporating various design elements, gemstones, and textures.
- Knowledge of jewellery materials, gemstones, and manufacturing processes to ensure accurate and feasible designs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create precise designs with proper proportions and symmetry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, sales teams, and production staff.
