**Purpose**

CEEW’s Risks and Adaptation team seeks to hire a Research Intern for the Air Quality team to expand its work in the space of air pollution. The successful applicant will assist the team members in undertaking extensive quantitative and qualitative research, including literature review, data analysis, and would support the advancement of the research and policy engagement for air quality.

**Job Duties and Accountabilities**

**Research**
- Conduct literature review and summarize findings as reports to aid senior researchers on air pollution research.
- Assist the team with designing the survey questionnaire, sampling strategy, enumerators training, conducting qualitative and quantitative interviews and data analysis in line with planned research activities
- Track the latest research developments and policy developments in India and worldwide, pertinent to air pollution.
- Write high-quality research content for the organisation’s web pages, blogs, issue briefs etc
- Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programmes for a comprehensive understanding of air quality management in India and globally.

**Programme Assistance**
- Assist with project implementation, including support with preparing presentations, factsheets and other communication material.
- Support efforts to use new media platforms for wide dissemination of CEEW's work and, in turn, closer engagement with the wider community.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and assist with preparing minutes
- Accompany the other team members for meetings with other stakeholders; prepare minutes of the meetings and assist with relevant follow up.

**Selection Criteria**

**Qualification**
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in economics, statistics, public policy, environmental science, engineering or related field.
- 0-1 years of relevant research experience
- A fair understanding of environmental policy and governance in India and worldwide

**Key Skills**
- Sharp and analytical mind with a keen interest to connect data with stories.
- Strong communication skills for effective, efficient, and adaptive verbal and written communication, and active listening.
- Strong quantitative research skills and experience in using statistical software - R/Stata/Python.
- Ability to dig deeper into details, while not losing sight of the broader objectives
